What Is This Session About?

This one-day immersive course equips adult educators and training professionals with an established six-stage instructional design model to align learning with performance improvement. Through practical activities and real-world cases, participants learn to design learning solutions that address workplace problems and drive measurable outcomes. Generative AI tools will be introduced as optional aids for faster ideation and prototyping. By day’s end, participants will create an instructional prototype aligned to business needs, learner gaps, and performance metrics.

What Does The Session Cover?

Workforce development and lifelong learning in Singapore are increasingly focused on skills-based, performance-driven training solutions, as highlighted in the Jobs and Skills Report launched by SSG in early 2025.
Employers are looking for learning experiences that produce measurable improvements in productivity and capability. This course responds to that need by training instructional designers to use an agile, business-aligned model to build learning that closes performance gaps. It moves beyond academic or compliance-based training toward results-oriented learning design, essential in fast-paced, high-change industries. With AI transforming instructional workflows, the course also offers participants guided exposure to tools that enhance speed and productivity without compromising instructional rigour.

Who Is It Suitable For?

- Training and Adult Educators: Adult trainers, learning and development personnel, programme managers, ACLP graduates and anyone aspiring to become instructional designers or wondering what instructional designers’ work looks like

- Learning Leaders and HR Talent management Professionals: Individuals tasked with onboarding, training, and upskilling their teams or those responsible for employee development and learning initiatives within organisations to optimise performance through learning

- Ultimately, anyone interested in exposure to a systematic and responsive approach to deliver engaging learning experiences that improve performance in the workplace
